Caravans for Sale Victoria

Caravans for Sale Victoria

I have this neighbour who’s always talking about her caravanning weekends!!.
She talks about caravanning so enthusiastically.. its hard to ignore the fact that getting away for the weekend, or for a holiday, or go anywhere .. it all sounds like fantastic fun.

We spend our spare time in the garden; We have a tidy garden, and its so much better than our neighbours!! We've frequently swapped my surplus vegetables for fish they’ve caught when away fishing.  and.. We do have adequate space to park a caravan on our section.
As we’re brand new to caravanning..  We decided we’d do some research on our own.  (I was aware that my neighbour would have so much information to offer.. We just wanted to get some basic knowledge.)
Motor homes are popular, and I’ve often seen them on the road. I could see the merits of owning one. When it came to reversing, it would be simpler than backing with a towed caravan.
Our vehicle was big enough to tow a caravan, I thought.. We don’t need two vehicles. I’ll ask my neighbour how she gets on when reversing.. Furthermore, we can just park the caravan up, lock up, and we have the car to get us from A to B when holidaying.
I went to EBAY ..and searched “Caravans”.. in Victoria.
It was so very interesting.
There are so many different sizes, and different sorts.
There were many on site caravans. There were pop top caravans. Some were big caravans, (their length was mentioned) and much smaller caravans. There were old caravans, and new and nearly new caravans.
Most auction pages had quite a few photos and a write up about the caravan on auction..  I read through most articles, and looked through all the photos.
It is amazing how compact caravans are.  Double bed, a bathroom, kitchen, dining & lounge, fridge, oven, lots of draws & cupboards.
Caravans are an extra home; and you can take them away from home.
We were now hooked. We wanted a caravan
It’s hard to get an idea of size and all the details just from a photo.
We had a look at brand new caravans that were for sale.
We sat back in the lounge of a spacious caravan and thought: “this feels like us”.
Price & size were now a consideration..
Perhaps we could get something cheap, something second hand… We had an idea of price & the sizes now.
We looked at private sales.
It was interesting talking to owners.. Some eagerly told us of all the places they'd visited.
We became very interested in a "newish" caravan. Its owner wanted to sell it so he could buy a bigger one. We knew to ask about maintenance, and this owner had all the documents.
There was little wear and tear in the inside.
We decided that perhaps NOW was the time to let our neighbour into our secret. She was flattered.. Presuming that US buying a caravan was 100% HER IDEA!!
She was helpful, and did suggest we take their mechanic with us when we’re ready to buy.. -He owns a caravan, and he could check out the mechanical side of the caravan..
Well, we purchased the second hand caravan.. We love it. We can thoroughly recommend it.. and now I sound just like my neighbour.
